Visit the MSU Gardens!

MSU is known for its beautiful campus year round, but come spring time, nature takes its course and the campus really blossoms. The MSU Horticulture Department is to thank for the many gardens campus has to offer, as well as gardens beyond East Lansing. Check out the video below to get a sample tour of some of these amazing gardens, including the Judith A. DeLapa Perennial Garden, the Amien & Florence Carter Annual Garden, the Children’s 4-H Garden,  and the Clarence E. Lewis Landscape Arboretum, all located near the Plant and Soil Sciences Building on campus. Check out this video on the MSU Gardens here.

Below are a set of five multiple choice questions taken from the MSU Construction website.  Track down the answers and email your best guesses to hrcommteam@hr.msu.edu before the end of the day on Monday for a chance to win an MSU Physical Plant prize pack!   • Put a hold on mail and any deliveries while you’re gone or have a neighbor pick them up.

Portfolios, batteries, coffee and more, University Stores is a great resource for faculty and staff to meet all of their office and school supply needs. University stores offers over 3000 items that help support MSU’s colleges and departments. Energy Transition Plan Trivia

Michigan State University’s Energy Transition Plan was created by the Energy Transition Steering Committee, to develop a long-term plan that will help MSU reliably meet its future energy needs while considering future energy costs and environmental impacts. The committee recommends that the long-term vision for the university should be to transition to a campus completely powered by 100% renewable energy sources. President Simon has received the plan from the committee, and the MSU Board of Trustees is scheduled to vote on the plan in April.

Everyone should become familiar with the plan before it is voted on… so we decided to make it fun! Read through the plan and try to find the answers to the questions below.
