Fun Friday at the MSU Computer Store

When it’s time for new technology equipment or software, look no further than the MSU Computer Store! The MSU Computer Store offers a variety of computers and accessories to MSU faculty, staff and students at great prices. The educational discounts offered can be over 50 percent for software and about five percent for hardware! These discounts apply for personal and departmental use.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in 110 Computer Center. You’ll find software, computers, iPods, laptop cases, headphones and other accessories all in one place on campus. No Flu for You!

THE FLU.

You know it’s coming. You know you don’t want any part of it. But did you know there is a lot you can do to avoid it?

If you want to do everything you can to flu proof yourself this year, the first thing you can do is mark your calandar and plan to attend one of the MSU Seasonal Flu Clinics operated by the fine folks at the Office of the University Physician between October 14 and November 17 at various locations across campus.

Tips for Effective Meeting Minutes

Today Mitzi Taylor, owner of Not So Basic Training and facilitator for Human Resource Development, offers three tips on how to take effective meeting minutes without the stress. Mentoring: A Win-Win-Win Way to Go!

Mentoring is a win-win-win situation. Why? Because it helps a mentee grow in their position and unit, it helps a mentor develop leadership and supervisory skills and it helps the University strengthen the skill sets and knowledge of its employees.

The M.E.N.T.O.R.S. (Mentoring Enhances Networking, Teaching, Organizational Renewal and Success) program has been in place for about six years. It was formed through a recommendation by the Women’s Advisory Committee for Finance and Operations (WACFO) to offer increased exposure to leadership positions on campus.
