Thank you MSU IT!

It has become increasingly important in a university setting to remain up-to-date with the latest technologies, and the staff members at MSU IT offer the resources to make this possible. Technology is constantly changing, but the knowledgeable MSU IT staff members are always available to support the MSU community.

In addition to the day-to-day support MSU IT provides, they also have a broader technology plan with their Bolder IT initiative.

MSU Bolder IT has three components: Strengthen, Align and Innovate. The Strengthen component encompasses the idea that MSU’s primary focus must be the delivery of reliable, cost-effective core infrastructure and services. The Align component refers to the increased communication between MSU IT and a unit’s IT so that they can operate as “one IT.” Finally, the Innovate component builds on the foundation the other two provide and focuses on enhancing the end user experience to deliver efficient, timely and innovative technology services.

The combination of all three areas, Strengthen, Align and Innovate, allows MSU IT to achieve their end goal of creating one stable and secure IT department that supports the experiences of students, faculty, staff, alumni and others connected with MSU.

Thank you, MSU IT for all that you do for the university!

Thank you Kellogg Center!

With the holiday season approaching and bringing with it many parties and events, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center staff for all of their hard work!

The Kellogg Center opened in 1951, and since then, the talented staff have been hard at work creating a great space to host a variety of events. In addition to the hotel, the Kellogg Center also offers dining at The State Room, 35,000 square feet of flexible function space, and covered parking for guests. All of these features combined ensure that any event held at the Kellogg Center will be a success.

The Kellogg Center consistently provides outstanding service to all of its guests, and is an amazing venue for everything from awards dinners to academic conferences. The Kellogg Center really does exemplify the ideals of D.O.S.E., and whenever you attend any event held there, you are sure to have an outstanding Spartan experience!

Thank you Kellogg Center staff for all that you do for the MSU community.

Thank you Veterans!

With the craziness of our everyday lives, it’s easy to forget and appreciate the freedom and independence we get to call part of our home in the United States of America. MSU Human Resources would like to thank and express our gratitude to the faculty, staff and students who have put their lives on the line to serve and protect our country.

Support and gratitude for veterans is campus-wide. MSU Student Veterans of American and the Veteran Resource Center honored the men and woman who have served in the United States Armed Forces at the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Breakfast earlier this morning. Also, MSU Athletics gave away tickets for the MSU vs. Rutgers football game tomorrow to a few lucky veteran faculty and staff.

Thank you IPF Custodial Services!

ty-custodial-2Their work often goes unnoticed, but it is evident every day when faculty, staff and students enter campus buildings to begin the day.

Custodial Services workers clean restrooms, classrooms, conference rooms, libraries, laboratories and more. They empty your trash can, mop or vacuum the floor you walk on and disinfect the door handles and light switches you touch. Each building has a crew that comes in during off hours to prepare the building for the next day.

Thank you, Custodial Services, for your constant upkeep of the numerous buildings on campus!

Thank you student employees!

Students do so much more than attend classes and study at MSU. They are an integral part of MSU’s work force, from assisting with research, interning, making and serving food, providing guided campus tours and much more, all while balancing academics, clubs and other responsibilities.

Thank you student employees, for contributing your time and talents to the university! Your efforts aid in maintaining daily, ongoing operations and help advance the university in its future endeavors.

We would also like to congratulate all graduating MSU students. You might be leaving the university, but you’ll always be a Spartan. Good luck!
