Visit the Demmer Center

The Demmer Shooting Sports Education & Training Center, located on Jolly Road, has plenty of exciting classes for beginners and experienced shooters. As a training center for MSU shooting organizations as well as the MSU Archery Club, the Demmer Center also provides classes and free range shooting for all ages. Archery equipment, firearms, and more are available for rental or you are welcome to bring your own equipment to use. Classes range from “Introduction to Hand Guns” to “Concealed Pistol License” and “Hunger Games Style Archery Clinic.” One-on-one lessons are also available.

For something a little different, the Demmer Center offers “Shoot & a Shave” where men can enjoy an afternoon of shooting on all ranges as well as an old fashioned shave. Couples can enjoy “Shoot, Spa, & Stay.” Partnered with Candlewood Suites, the package includes an afternoon of shooting, spa treatments and a night at the hotel. Another option for couples is “Dinner and a Shoot” with dinner at Gilbert and Blakes. Many other interesting classes are offered and can be found at http://demmercenter.msu.edu . More Windows 7 Tips (until Windows 8 is upon us)

For an application, right click the application and choose “pin to task bar.” For websites, files or folders, drag them to the task bar and let go. Then to access your “pinned” items, right click the pinned program used to create them (for example, Word or Internet Explorer) to show a “jumplist” of your pinned items along with the most recent or frequently accessed items.
  • I know we have all done this: in the middle of composing an email, you realize you accidentally hit caps lock? All caps are like YELLING in an email so you delete it all and start over.  An easy way to fix that is to highlight the text and hold SHIFT then hit the F3 function key (in the top row of the keyboard that few ever use). This will change the text from upper to lower case or vice-versa, and a third time changes it to title case, capitalizing the first letter of each word. This works in most Microsoft programs.Continue Reading… More Windows 7 Tips (until Windows 8 is upon us)
