This week we’re highlighting a Research Administrator I position for the Natural Science Dean’s Office (Posting #6096).  Some of the job duties for this position include serving as a resource to the Director of the College of Natural Science Office of Research Services, as well as to the College Budget Officer and the Associate Dean for Budget Planning, Research and Facilities on budget and other issues; assisting in all aspects of the preparation of internally and externally funded research projects and other scholarly activities, including identification of potential sponsors; preparing and editing proposals; and working with the Office of Sponsored Project and Contract and Grant Administration to carry out aspects of contract negotiation with sponsored programs, other universities, federal and state governments, foundations, and industries.  For a complete description of this position, and to view all of our current postings, please go to www.jobs.msu.edu and select Support Staff under the Fast Jobs Search.

Yogalates at Lunchtime!

Do you find yourself feeling tense by lunchtime? Recreational Sports and Fitness Services offers Yogalates classes every Wednesday from 12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. at IM Circle to help relax some of your morning tension and break up the work day.  Yogalates is a low-intensity workout that blends ideas and forms of Yoga and Pilates to stretch your muscles, increase blood flow, improve your posture and work out your abdominal muscles. EBS Development Team is breaking new ground with SAP Forms

When EBS went live in December 2010, HR/Payroll forms used Adobe Interactive Forms technology. We quickly discovered Adobe is not the ideal solution for the complex forms required by university processes. We ran into issues with performance and usability. We needed a new solution.

An SAP system upgrade applied in August of 2011 offered new options for forms creation and processing. The new capability of Floorplan Manager (FPM), with a technology we were already using called WebDynPro, led our development team down a new path. This week we’re highlighting a Data Integrity Assistant II position for Advancement Information Systems and Donor Strategy (Posting #6072).
