Thank you, MSU Student Organic Farm!

Today we’d like to thank the MSU Student Organic Farm, which brings great produce to our community and dining halls! The MSU Student Organic Farm is a 10-acre, certified organic year-round teaching and production farm. The farm project was initiated by a group of students, and it offers them a chance to apply what they learn in classes and to discover things outside of a classroom. The farm is managed by a steering team, with input from the farm staff, instructors, students and other faculty.

They offer items such as certified organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, transplants and fresh cut flowers. They also put together an e-newsletter that tells you what they’ll be bringing to the stand each week. The farm stand presents a great opportunity to try local, organic produce at affordable prices.Continue Reading… Thank you, MSU Student Organic Farm!

Walking Paths on Campus

It’s always nice to get out of the office for a short time and it’s even nicer with such a large, beautiful campus. One of the largest in the nation, MSU’s campus has plenty of hidden paths that can give you the exercise you need and an interesting tour along the way. On the map below are three walking paths that I created: a tour of the beautiful MSU Landscaping (1.19 miles), a tour of MSU Landmarks (1.01 miles), and a tour of Campus Favorites (1.34 miles). Click on the photo below for information on stops along the way! For more walking route options, check out the Campus Walking Loops created by MSU Geographic Information System (GIS).Continue Reading… Walking Paths on Campus
