Today we’d like to thank the MSU Student Organic Farm, which brings great produce to our community and dining halls! The MSU Student Organic Farm is a 10-acre, certified organic year-round teaching and production farm. The farm project was initiated by a group of students, and it offers them a chance to apply what they learn in classes and to discover things outside of a classroom. The farm is managed by a steering team, with input from the farm staff, instructors, students and other faculty.
Each Thursday from April to October, the Student Organic Farm hosts a farm stand from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The stand is directly in front of the MSU Auditorium. They offer items such as certified organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, transplants and fresh cut flowers. They also put together an e-newsletter that tells you what they’ll be bringing to the stand each week. The farm stand presents a great opportunity to try local, organic produce at affordable prices.
To all those who contribute to the MSU Student Organic Farm, thank you for offering the MSU community convenient organic goods!
