Today’s Mailroom Monday question: Are there good on-campus dining options for faculty and staff?
Answer: Yes, there is a great faculty/staff dining plan that is just for us! Under the DineOn 10+ plan, faculty and staff can purchase 10 or more passes to eat in any of MSU’s residential dining halls. The cost per meal is $5.75 plus tax and the 10 or more meals you purchase can be put right onto your MSU ID card.Continue Reading… Good on-campus dining options for faculty and staff

It’s Mailroom Monday! This week’s question is: Can MSU help me find child care?
Yes! MSU can help you find child care plus a whole lot more! MSU has a relationship with a group named Care.com that MSU faculty and staff can use to find childcare, eldercare, pet sitters, housesitters, housekeepers and more.
The service is free to MSU employees to use once you register, and registration gives you access to a searchable database of a wide range of care providers all over the United States! In addition, you can also post a job description of the type of help you are looking for and have the candidates come to you.
You can search by zip code area and/or job type and view profiles of care givers that often include a background check. The service to help you locate providers that are a good match for your needs is free; however you will still be responsible for paying individuals you hire for their services.Continue Reading… Can MSU Help Me Find Child Care?
MSU has a new office for faculty, staff and students to get their Spartan ID cards: 170 International Center. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In order to get a Spartan ID card, faculty and staff must bring government-issued photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. Spouses of MSU employees also may obtain ID cards entitling them to certain privileges. To obtain a Spartan ID card for a spouse, the employee and spouse must both visit the office and bring their employee Spartan ID card, proof of marriage, and a government-issued photo for their spouse, such as a driver’s license or passport.
