How Do I Get a Replacement Spartan ID Card?

MSU has a new office for faculty, staff and students to get their Spartan ID cards: 170 International Center. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In order to get a Spartan ID card, faculty and staff must bring government-issued photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. Spouses of MSU employees also may obtain ID cards entitling them to certain privileges. To obtain a Spartan ID card for a spouse, the employee and spouse must both visit the office and bring their employee Spartan ID card, proof of marriage, and a government-issued photo for their spouse, such as a driver’s license or passport. At this time, there is no charge for a replacement Spartan ID cards for faculty, staff or their spouses.

Your Spartan ID card is your gateway to a variety of services, such as electronic access control to buildings and parking gates, MSU Library services, residence hall meal plans, and it is your employee bus pass for on-campus routes. Spartan ID cards also may get you discounts outside of MSU. See the Employee Discounts page for more information. If you don’t have a Spartan ID card, make sure to get one today!
