Thank You MSU Police!

Michigan State University is the hub of East Lansing, serving more than 40,000 students and covering over 4,000 acres. With so many people and so much space there’s always a possibility for trouble. But thanks to the Michigan State University Police, MSU faculty, staff, students and visitors can trust that their safety is in good hands.

The MSU Police has 69 officers, men and women, certified by the State of Michigan. The officers encompass a wide variety of races, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds and handle all of MSU’s police matters, ranging from stolen bicycles to speeding tickets to party violations.

The MSU Police are the eyes and ears of the MSU community. You may even see them out and about engaging in friendly conversation with students, visitors, or faculty on campus.

According to the MSU Police website their undertaking is, “treating people not just with fairness and professionalism, but also with friendliness, real concern and a sense of humor. We believe in enjoying our jobs while helping you to enjoy this great university.”

Every day, no matter how big or small the issue may be, the MSU Police are there to serve the MSU community.
