Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States; one in every three deaths is from heart disease and stroke, equal to 2,200 deaths per day (Center for Disease Control). And more women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined (American Heart Association).

This week we’re highlighting a Secretary II position in the Department of English (Posting #5822). This week we’re highlighting a Curriculum Assistant I position in the Osteopathic Medicine Dean’s Office (Posting #5771). Some of the job duties for this position include providing support to faculty course directors for MSUCOM Pre-Clerkship medical students in the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine professional program; working closely with course directors, other on- and off-campus faculty and course assistants at the remote sites in South East Michigan, Detroit Medical Center and Macomb University Center to plan, develop, coordinate, implement and oversee to completion a multitude of various tasks required to deliver the course curriculum; and acting as liaison between course directors, students, administrators and various departments on campus.
