It’s another Fun Friday and we think it’s fun to be “in the know” about all the wonderful things going on at Michigan State University!  The problem is, MSU is BIG, and there is so much going on in so many places that keeping up with it all can seem impossible.  More and more savvy Spartans are taking advantage of social media tools to stay up-to-date on all things MSU.  Many MSU colleges, units, departments, groups, courses, coaches, teams and individuals make interesting MSU-related information available to all through Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, You-Tube, Flickr and Slideshare. This week we’re highlighting a Project/Event Coordinator position in the department of Horticulture (Posting #5403).  Some of the job duties for this position include developing, organizing, planning and managing all events and programs associated with the MSU Horticulture Gardens, including educational programs such as Garden Day, Spring Garden Conference and the Curious Garden; assessing field and facility requirements; arranging for speakers and trainers; making travel arrangements, including lodging, food and beverage service; determining layout, logistics, agenda; communication and marketing; and assisting with solicitation of sponsors, vendors and in-kind donations. Do I need to keep all of my receipts for my Flexible Spending Account?

Yes! Since Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are IRS-regulated benefits, save all of your receipts. IRS rules require FSA Plan Administrators to substantiate the eligibility of ALL items and services billed to Flexible Spending Accounts, including those transactions using HCSA debit cards.

MSU’s FSA Plan Administrator, Meritain Health, may contact you to submit a receipt to verify an expense.
