This week we are highlighting a Stage Manager with the Performing Arts Facilities and Programs (posting #4169). This position will advance and coordinate technical needs for events scheduled by Wharton Center as assigned by the Senior Production Manager. Additionally, this position will be the backstage point of contact during technical load-ins, performances and load-outs facilitating smooth operations and maintaining schedule of events. Facility stage managers will maintain, repair and preform needed upkeep of the facility and equipment as assigned or, report items and areas in need of service. Work schedule will be variable, including many nights, weekends and holidays. This position must be a pro-active, positive, strong leader; directing staff, and working cohesively with other departments for the unit. Professional demeanor in working with clients, performers and all facility staff is required. This position does require familiarity with computers, and detailed, precise communications with clients, and facility staff. This position may work alongside with on-call IATSE crew members, setting theatrical equipment for events as required by specific events, or schedules.
