This week we are highlighting an Office Assistant III position with the Anthropology Department (Posting #8322). This position serves as assistant to the Graduate Program director and Department chair; reviews and processes candidate applications for admissions at the master’s and Ph.D. levels; compiles program statistics as needed; types, edits and composes materials; revises and updates application materials for graduate recruitment; coordinates campus visits; maintains and oversees confidential student graduate records and grades, student folders and other related internal records; works closely with graduate advisors, assisting advisors with monitoring curriculum planning; supervises graduate students and/or student employees; tracks graduate student employment post-graduation; prepares and processes analytical reports of graduate expenditures and maintains budgets for all student fellowships; processes all graduate assistantship appointments; prepares and/or maintains databases, spreadsheets; maintains the working structure of the office; and manages multiple responsibilities related to the job and assists with special projects and other areas as needed in the department.
