Today is the last day to participate in Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Open Enrollment for the 2012 plan year. The enrollment system closes at 11:59 p.m. EST. Those who miss the enrollment deadline will have to wait until next fall to enroll in the 2013 program.

There are two types of FSAs available to MSU faculty and staff:
- Dependent Care Spending Accounts (DCSAs) which allow the employee to use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible child or dependent care expenses
- Health Care Spending Accounts (HCSAs) which allow the employee to use pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs such as office visit co-pays, prescription co-pays, deductibles, eyeglasses and other vision costs
To complete open enrollment, follow these steps. There also is an enrollment assistance session today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Green Room of the MSU Union.
