This week we are highlighting an Institutional Equity Coordinator II (posting #4422) with the Office of Institutional Equity. This position is responsible for numerous aspects of university compliance with civil rights laws and policies. Responsibilities include: provide assistance to the Office of Institutional Equity to ensure university compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, including university-wide anti-discrimination policy (ADP) and procedures; investigate and provide effective resolution of formal and informal discrimination or harassment complaints, primarily in cases in which the complainant and respondent is a student; assist in the coordination of the university response to Title VI and Title IX complaints; support the development and implementation of training programs that enhance equitable treatment and strengthen a supportive university environment; assist in coordinating the ongoing development and implementation of university-wide affirmative action and diversity programs in the office; act as an impartial fact finder in the investigation process; handle claims with sensitivity and neutrality, ensuring office and university process is followed throughout; provide input regarding policies and procedures at the university related to institutional equity.
